Set in the heart of the cobbled old town, The Anchorage is a beautiful three-bedroomed, Grade-II listed guest house dating back to the 1700s. Our comfortable retreat is nestled just a few steps away from fabulous restaurants, award-winning beaches and the famous St Ives School of Painting. Enjoy an ice cream on the harbour, a day of surfing the waves or a tour around the Tate St Ives; each just moments from the front door.
Each of our cosy rooms is equipped with an ensuite or private bathroom, smart TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a mini fridge. Brand new pocket spring mattresses for total comfort await guests looking for a rejuvenating break. Rooms are offered on an accommodation basis only as there are plenty of places to eat in and around The Anchorage's location.
St.Ives has a rich history as an ancient fishing village, artist's retreat and world-renowned holiday destination. With a Blue Flag awarded beach, multitude of independent shops and exciting activities only metres away, our guest house provides a home away from home while guests enjoy the best of the Cornish coast.
The Anchorage has been hosted by Karen and Amanda Walsh since November 2019, a mother and daughter team, helped by our wonderful housekeeper Hayley. We hope to meet you during your stay with us.
Great view
Housed at the top of the Anchorage, this fabulously light and airy double bedroom contains an en-suite with shower and character features such as the exposed 18th Century beams.
The Du Maurier Room offers views across the St Ives rooftops to the Harbour, Smeaton's Pier and the St Ives Bay.
The room is in the eaves of the house so there is restricted head height around the bed and in the shower but the view more than makes up for this inconvenience!
Double room
Named after the famous St Ives painter and former fisherman, Alfred Wallis, this wonderfully proportioned double room overlooks Bunkers Hill.
On the first floor of the guest house, the room includes an en-suite with shower.
Cosy space
A quaint bedroom on the first floor of the Anchorage offers a double bed and a view over Bunkers Hill.
This small room, while not en-suite, has a private bathroom with shower across the hallway.
* We have one parking permit available to guests for the Burrow Road car park at a cost of £10 per day. This is offered on a first come first served basis and can be reserved by messaging us directly.
